Educators/teachers may be asked to assist with the use of some resources while the presenter is handling the animals.

She possesses undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications and has extensive experience in delivering engaging and informative sessions to students of all ages. A valid Working with Children check has been acquired.
No, the safety of students and the wellbeing of our animals are our top priorities. All marine animals are handled by trained professionals following strict ethical guidelines and welfare standards. Children can interact with the animals under supervised and controlled conditions. Instructions for animal interactions will be outlined during the session.
Yes. The marine invertebrates featured in our programs are responsibly acquired from reputable suppliers who sustainably collect specimens from WA waters. We maintain a strong commitment to the welfare and protection of our animals and abide by the Animal Care and Protection Act 2001 and the Nature Conservation Act 1992. To minimise handling times and transportation stresses, we implement a rotational system amongst our animals.
Yes, all children are required to rinse their hands with normal water before interacting with the animals, artefacts and equipment. We recommend washing their hands with soap after they touch the animals.
